How SwaziMUD™ Beads Are Made

Our SwaziMUD™ beads are handmade at Project Canaan in Eswatini, Africa by the Khutsala™ Artisans. These beads are made from African mud that is hand-rolled and then baked in a kiln for 8 hours. After the beads are hardened, they are hand glazed and then baked again for another 8 hours turning them into uniquely colored glass beads.

100% of the profits from the sale of Khutsala™ goods go directly back to the care of the children living on the Project Canaan farm. Proudly wear this unique piece of jewelry knowing that you're supporting the Khutsala™ Artisans, their families, and the orphans living at Project Canaan. Project Canaan is a 2,500-acre farm located in Eswatini that employs over 100 artisans and provides a fair wage to them to help support their livelihood and their families.
